Program Overview: Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services is a 24/7 crisis intervention service that offers face-to-face crisis and emergency intervention to individuals who are suicidal, homicidal, or acutely psychotic

Job Function: The Psychiatric Emergency Screener (PESS) conducts mental health evaluations and assessments to determine the need for hospitalization, either voluntary or involuntary

• Work collaboratively with all staff to effectively communicate and problem solve
• Commits to timely and appropriate communication to supervisor and team members, and make suggestions for team-oriented approach
• Conducts self in a professional which positively reflects Acenda's agency culture
• Is attentive and responsive to individual's needs in a helpful and supportive manner

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Master's degree in the mental health field from an accredited institution, plus one year post master full time experience in a psychiatric setting
• Bachelors degree in the mental health field from an accredited institution , plus three years post bachelors, full time experience in a psychiatric setting
• Bachelors degree in the mental health field, one of which is in a crisis setting and currently enrolled in a Master's program
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an ensured vehicle, and a acceptable driving record
• Professionalism and a commitment to excellence in care
