What you'll do

  • Serve as initial contact for Life Link Homes and Steps Towards Independence Adolescent Supportive Housing Program applicants and referral sources
  • Market adolescent Housing Programs and Present programs in the community.
  • Process all program applications; assist applicants through housing process; act as the Team Lead in the interview process
  • Monitor, update and maintain program wait list
  • Cultivate relationships with local employers.
  • Ability to lead engaging employment workshops
  • Collaborate with Independent Living Coordinators in preparing young adults for meaningful employment
  • Liaison with vocational and educational community partners to help youth develop career plans and obstacles to employment
  • The Adolescent Community Resource Specialist will act as an agency leader in marketing the Adolescent Supportive Housing Programs, and will represent the agency in the community by attending and presenting at meetings
  • Participate in innovative initiatives designed to engage communities in care and treatment
  • Collaborate with Acenda team members and external supports to enhance independence
  • Provide culturally competent service delivery

What you'll bring to the team

  • Bachelor's degree in social service related field preferred.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in trauma-informed care, mental health and substance abuse.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to motivate and engage your team as well as be an effective leader across the agency
  • Demonstrates a passion for working with young adults, especially those with complicated needs and histories.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record.
  • Professionalism and a commitment to excellence in care
